Spatial Transcriptomics Services

Spatial Transcriptomics Services

To fully understand the function of genes in a given cell type, researchers need to understand cellular gene expression in different parts of the tissue. Spatial transcriptomics is the integration of gene expression profiles with immunochemically stained images of tissue sections of interest, thereby localizing gene expression information from different cells within tissue to the original spatial location of the tissue, and thus directly observing differences in gene expression in functional regions of different parts of the tissue.

CD Genomics offers spatial transcriptomics technology services that take advantage of both conventional in situ and histological technologies, which can help researchers simultaneously analyze the sequence and location information of RNA in fresh or FFPE tissue sections. With our technology services, researchers can obtain location-specific transcriptional information of tissues, which provides richer and more effective data support for research and diagnosis.

We enable researchers to use high-quality data on individual cells within tissues to deepen their understanding of disease and other correlative studies through our well-established workflows, reliable imaging systems, and without the need for extensive bioinformatics tools or infrastructure.

Our spatial transcriptomics services

Our advanced platforms: 10x Genomics Visium

Service flow

  • Sample quality testing.
  • Sectioning and imaging of fresh or OCT/FFPE tissues.
  • Tissue sections are placed on slides containing RNA-binding capture probes and fixed and permeabilized to release mRNA from cells and bind to the corresponding capture probes to obtain gene expression information.
  • Use the captured RNA as a template for cDNA synthesis and sequencing library preparation.
  • Sequencing of the prepared libraries.
  • Data visualization and analysis to determine which genes are expressed, the amount of gene expression, and information on the spatial location of these genes.

Types of samples we can analyze

Species: human, mouse, rat, etc.

Tissue types: heart, lung, eyes, liver, kidney, spleen, stomach, testis, ovary, breast, lymph node, brain, intestine, thyroid, skin, pancreas, bone tissue, etc.

Sample requirements

  • You will need to prepare fresh tissue in advance, take samples for isopentane freezing, and then OCT/FFPE embedding and dry ice shipping.
  • You need to prepare at least 3 tissue samples and each tissue sample should not be too large (≤1 cm).

Our advantages

  • Short turnaround time. Upon receipt of samples, we will proceed to the next step as soon as possible to ensure on-time completion of experiments and shorten your project cycle time.
  • Standardized analysis process. We build advanced technology platforms with experienced experts and standardized quality control and analysis systems to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Reliable equipment support. We have a state-of-the-art frozen section machine (LEICA CM1950) for testing and optimizing section thickness and section temperature for a wide range of tissue types. The digital section scanner (PANNORAMIC series) allows for rapid scanning and imaging of frozen sections in both bright fields and fluoroscopic fields. Multi-layer focus scanning and depth-of-field extended multi-layer fusion scanning modes further enhance resolution and clarity, ensuring the accurate acquisition of high-resolution digital image information of sections.
  • Full process service. We provide a full set of services for spatial transcriptome, including sample embedding, sectioning, selection, HE staining, tissue permeabilization, library sequencing, and subsequent FISH validation, so you don't need to be distracted.
  • Solving real problems. We not only have the advanced spatial transcriptomics technology but also help you use the experimental results to solve real research problems, wishing you a breakthrough soon.
  • Excellent customer experience. Seamless communication, a great customer experience, a one-on-one project manager to handle everything, and great after-sales service.
  • Peace of mind and cost savings. We provide reliable, high-level technical services at competitive prices.
